Sooners Heading to Fiesta

After winning the Big 12 championship game against then-No. 1 ranked Missouri, Oklahoma will be playing Jan. 1 in the Fiesta Bowl against West Virginia, which had hoped to play in the national title game until a disappointing loss to Pitt.

Oklahoma missed a try at the national title (which will go to Ohio State or LSU) by losing to Texas Tech.

The Fiesta Bowl takes place in Glendale, Arizona, and will air at 8 p.m. Eastern time (that’s 7 p.m. in the Sooner Nation) on FOX.

Missouri, by the way, is headed to Dallas and the Cotton Bowl against Arkansas, which, ironically, is one of the two teams that beat LSU this year. What a crazy ride!
